Connecticut has more historic architecture per capita than almost any state — and a smaller and smaller pool of contractors capable of restoration. F.J. Dahill has been a preservation contractor for landmark properties across the state since 1883, including a PDCA First Place award for the John M. Davies House. We work to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards, coordinate with preservation societies and SHPO offices, and bring the trades — masonry, slate, steeple work, historic windows, architectural carpentry — that historic work requires.

Standards-based restoration
We work to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Where Section 106 or local historic district review applies, we coordinate the work to comply.
